family reunions

It is the season for reunions............ they really are fun (for the most part).

My side of the family had one   near the end of July (the Montagues) in Salt Lake.  It lasted 2 days.   The kids most favorite part was when we went to the Hotel (were the out of towners where staying) and swam for hours (it seemed)  and then my kids went and watched a movie with some of my cousins kids in their rooms while Dan and I played games. (well, Dan stayed in the room too at first and "watched the movie"  he says, but I think he slept haha).

    we took a picture of all the cousins together but I have not  seen it yet!  so for now this is one of just my parents, siblings (and spouses),  nieces and nephew, and my amazing children and husband:)
                                  

The next weekend was Dans family reunion (the Bairds)  in Salt Lake.  It was at his dads cousins house.  We were able to go with Dans dad.  (We have been having some car troubles ugh).  I think the highlight for the kids was when they got to dive for money - Mark just throw it into the pool and let the kids have at it.  First coins and then at the end "floaties"  (paper money).  They loved that Kadrey ended up with like $16 and Jax had around $14  his was mostly dollars but hers was mostly coins because long after it was over she had her goggles on and was getting every last coin out of the pool she could find.   The highlight for me was that he and a scuffle board and I kicked Dans butt at that game way more then any other game we have ever played:)  haha

Boy is 8 and Dan is older too:)

Today is Jaxons birthday and he is 8.  Time sure does fly.  At least now when people ask how old he is they will not be as shocked because he does look older then 7( and has for quite sometime,) but I think 8 is less shocking to most - unless they have a 9 / 10 year old to compare him with because he is almost always bigger then them:)


He is such a goof ball, we sure are lucky to have him.  He is so kind and loving.  Most days he drives me crazy and he does not listen (he is too busy being silly)  but then when I think I can't handle it anymore he gives me loves and makes me laugh.

Dan just had his birthday too. He is getting up there lol.  The other day we were walking around the block and he started to complain about his knee and then his hip, I had to remind him that he is getting up in age and things stop working the way they should (after all he is not in his 20's anymore.)  Haha.                      

wow!!!!!!!!! eleven years!

Dan and I had our 11 year anniversary the other day.  11 years, crazy.  We went out to eat dinner and watch a movie (one of these years we will get to do something super exciting - until then dinner and a movie works).

3 v 3 tournament

Kadrey is now on a premier team and is very excited about that.  She is having a lot of fun with her new teammates. 

Kadrey had a mini tournament this last weekend in Edan.  She really likes her new team (its all girls).  They did not to so hot but they have not had a lot of playing time together and aside from Kadrey non of the girls had played against boys and in this tournament they played both girls and boys teams.

  The funnest part for Kadrey was playing on the inflatable field.  She really thought that was cool.  I, on the other hand, thought that it made playing more physical and out of control (but maybe that was just the team they were playing).    She has a tournament coming up at the end of this week in Logan (the Cache Cup).

Oh baby!

So as I mentioned before I am pregnant - 28 weeks.    The doctors have been keeping a close eye on the baby and I get ultrasounds regularly they also measure the thigh bone and the neck all time ( which I guess will tell you about the growth of the baby?!)  At my last appointment the doc got this amazing picture of the baby.  I know that technology is really advanced and that to some this is nothing new but I was amazed:)

At my last appointment I had to drink that nasty Glucose stuff (for the 2nd time this pregnancy).  You have to fast for 2 hours before you drink it and then you have to drink it an hour before your appointment.  I slept in that day so I did not get to eat breakfast before I had to choke it down:(  I was sad.   Then you have to get your blood drawn - that is no dance it the park either.

Day of fun!!!!!!!!!

The kids spent sometime at their Grandparents (The Howells) house the other day.  They went swimming with some of their cousins and had a good time.  They even got cold in the water which is amazing because it was sooooo hot outside.

Kadrey is becoming a good little swimmer.  She practices whenever she can.  Jaxon is still learning but he is getting there:) He would rather just jump in the water and play so the practicing does not happen as much as it should, that's ok - he just loves being in the water.









        Boy!  They sure got worn out - but swimming and heat do that to all of us right?!

REAL Salt Lake v L.A. Galexy

A couple of weeks ago Dan and I got to go and watch the REAL game.  Traffic was terrible and even though we were running late we did not miss the kick off:)  We had seats right behind the goal - OK not right behind, it was a little to the left of it.  

REAL did not win but it was so much fun to go and watch.  After the game we were walking to our car (well sort of walking, mostly waiting to walk because it was congested there too.)  a fight broke out in front of us - I actually moved because it was right by me....  Stupid drunk people.
